The Denver Broncos are set to step on their foot on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Stadium on September 12, 2010, Sunday. This is the first regular game for both teams. Upon having a not so good start in the preseason games, can the Broncos dominate the football world and stay on until the finals?

In a report recently posted, the Denver Broncos announced on Monday that they decided to finally release their running back, Justin Fargas. The ex-Raiders RB has just signed a contract with the Broncos August 11 but then quickly released from the team ending his brief stay with the team. Fargas was released March by the Oakland Raiders after having been injured on his knee which has led to fail him physically. Fargas was supposed to be the team’s aid while some players are still on their injuries making them sidelined.

Meanwhile, Tebow and Thomas did a great thing in their preseason game last August 29 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Could it be that these two NFL newbie take over the function the Fargas and the other injured players will be leaving?

Can the Broncos still make it up with the spreads and totals set between them. The Broncos were the underdog in some of the sportsbook, making the Jacksonville Jaguars the favorite. Can this underdog able to set a name in the Jaguars’ field? Bettors and fans, watch out!

NFL Preseason: Chargers @ 49ers

San Diego Chargers @ San Francisco 49ers Thurs. Sept. 2nd 10pm EST

This NFL season will be an interesting and exciting one for the San Diego Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers as they are two teams that seem to be playoff bound heading into the regular season, but they have a few skill players that still need to prove themselves this year.

Over the last six years or so, the San Diego Chargers have been one of the most dominant teams in the league as they have just crushed the competition in the AFC West division and have been playoff bound on an annual basis.

This season Philip Rivers and company will come into the NFL regular season with one big difference in the backfield as rookie running back Ryan Matthews (Fresno State) will be replacing a legend in former NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson (New York Jets). Even though the Chargers head coach Norv Turner and his coaching staff are very impressed by the young running back so far, this kid has some huge shoes to fill and could be on a short leash if he struggles early in the season.

As for the San Francisco 49ers, they are coming off one of their most impressive seasons in quite some time as head coach Mike Singletary seems to be just what the doctor ordered for this struggling NFL franchise. Along with getting some much needed leadership on the sidelines with Singletary, the 49ers were finally able to get some stability under center as former number one overall pick Alex Smith showed signs of promise in his second stint as the starting quarterback.

One of the main reasons for Smith’s success under center last season was the much improved receiving corps with the addition of rookie wide receivers Michael Crabtree and tight end Vernon Davis. With these targets in the passing game and perennial Pro Bowl running back Frank Gore coming out of the backfield, this team was destined to make something happen and this season they will have their sights on winning the NFC West division.

This last preseason game for these two clubs will be nothing more than a final feeling out process for their rookies and the players trying to make the team. I believe the 49ers should be the team to come out with a win.

The Seattle Seahawks are on its way to Minnesota for a Saturday night fight with Minnesota Vikings home field. Will they be in a good mood enough to cover the spread and totals and hail victorious over the Vikings?

After losing the game between the Green Bay Packers, the Seattle Seahawks are now ready for yet another good fight even without Ben Hamilton who has been injured on the knee. He is set to join Russell Okung on the bench. Okung, who was drafted and planned to take over the retired legend Walter Jones, suffers from a right-ankle sprain. The game between the two teams this Saturday can be considered a fair game if the injuries are concerned. The Minnesota Vikings will also have Harvin on the bench due to his migraines and will be playing half of the entire season without Sidney Rice.

As the odds are set to each team, can their altered plan be enough to make it cover the spreads and totals? And now that both teams have their own cases of injuries, can they be able to sustain the performance of the team and reduce cases of players being injured? Bettors, watch out and handicap the performance of the team with or without their star players.

Wanted: Wide Receiver

After having the final decision of the famous quarterback, Brett Favre, the Minnesota Vikings are planning to have Javon Walker as their wide receiver. This move will reunite Favre and Walker after long been separated since their Packers’ time.

The plan has been due to the uncertainties caused by injuries of some of the Vikings’ players. Walker is planned to replace Percy Harvin or Sidney Rice. Harvin is reported to be struggling with his migraines while Rice is uncertain to return to play this season. The Vikings are in definite need of an excellent wide receiver.

Harvin was unable to participate in the Vikings preseason game with the Niners in San Francisco last Sunday after being hospitalized last week due to collapsing due to migraine during their practice in the Vikings quarters. However, he is expected to return to the field and practice this Tuesday. On the other hand, Rice is still uncertain to return to the active roster after having been injured and included in the unable to perform list. He hasn’t practiced up until now.

After losing the game with the Niners, the Minnesota Vikings are off to seek more and more possible options on making the team perform well and be able to cover all the spreads and totals set on them.

Rams Changing Strategy

It was a losing Rams last Saturday when the Vikings dominated the scoreboard during the Preseason Week 1. On their game Saturday night, the Vikings swept the Rams on a 28-7 final score. During the 1st the St. Louis Rams didn’t allow the Vikings to score after making 7, but starting the second until the last quarter, the faith turned against them. The Vikings now didn’t allow the Rams to score not even a single point.

The No. 1 NFL Draft pick, Sam Bradford showed eagerness on his first ever NFL experience but had an early case of bobbling a snap on his first two plays, short-arming a pitch and jitters. Although he was poised at the start of the game, he wasn’t able to maintain that poise and just ended with a rough patch during the game.

Due to the unexpected performance of Bradford, the Rams are set to have A.J. Feeley to start ahead of Bradford in their next preseason game with the Cleveland Browns on Saturday at the Brown’s Stadium.

Having said that plan, Bradford humbly uttered that he is comfortable with the plan and sets his mind that on Saturday he’ll be able to see what it’s like in a game situation and still expects to go out in the field and execute everything cleanly.

There’s always a first time, and there will always be next time to allow one to correct faults and improve. The followers of the St. Louis Rams are all positive that the Rams will be able to make their best in their game with the Browns. This may have an effect on the bettors, but his will definitely be work a lot better next time, enough to cover the spread and enable bettors to win their bets.

Teams:

Titan’s Contingency Plan

Weeks to go before the opening of the 2010 NFL season, players having injuries obtained from their preseason training is now the prevailing issues, aside from players transferring from one team to another. The Tennessee Titans faces problems regarding some of their players being injured, however, because of “business as usual” and “the show must go on” mottos, Titans are now doing their contingency plan into putting the team on a solid ground.

The eight-year veteran football player, Raheem Brock, is now listed as one of the new defensive player of the Titans. He has played 8 years as the Colts tackle end where he made his 28.5 career sack and won the Super Bowl ring. He was released March after being unhappy with playing inside tackle in Indianapolis. He has spent months after being released from the Colts waiting for the phone to ring and somebody will offer him a playing contract. It was very timely that the Tennessee Titans also needs help now and Brock thinks that he can make full advantage of the great defensive scheme of the Titans which will surely fits on what he can do.

On the other hand, the rookie Derrick Morgan, although hasn’t practiced much with the team, is considered a solution also. He’ll be playing with the No. 91 and also considers No. 90.
After the plan has been made, will they be able to perform well and give assurance to the fans and the sports bettor who will entrust their bankroll into them? Things will definitely be clearer as the season’s opening is fast approaching.

Three Teams Pursuing Schobel

After the lasts weeks’ formal release of Aaron Schobel, Buffalo Bills’ defensive end (DE), there has been three teams already vying for the performance of the Bills’ former DE. Aside from the Houston Texans, which was reported to be the most likely team that Schobel will choose, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks also expressed their interest in the now free agent Schobel.

Due to the high paying contract that the Buffalo Bills made for him, CSN New England’s Mike Giardi, notes that it would take the Patriots big money to have Schobel. Moreover, the Patriots believe that Schobel can play either defensive end or line backer. It was reported that Schobel was playing on a $50.5 million extension contract from 2007.

Sharing the same interest with the Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks general manager, John Schneider expressed deep the team’s interest in acquiring the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher, and replacing the retired Patrick Kerney. On the other hand, the Seahawks are contemplating it to be impossible as of this time given the factors that Schobel is now living in Texas, and the presence of Bill Kolar, his then defensive coach with the Bills that is now connected to the Texans and doing the same job.

The most likely to have Schobel, should he wish to play for another team, is the Houston Texans. Aside from the fact that Schobel is now residing in Texas and Bill Kolar’s transfer to the Texans, Schobel has been a long time fan of the team.

Should Schobel wish to play for another team, will his presence in one of those teams improve the over-all team performance and would likely to cover the usual spread and totals set o them?

As the first week of the 2010 NFL season are fast approaching, reports about players having injuries during the off-season are circulating. Arms, legs, hips injuries are the common complain of the players. As a common interpretation on football, it is a hardcore physical activity requiring movement of many parts of the body.

The Dallas Cowboys QB, Tony Romo, is not an exemption to this. Romo has been reported to have been suffering from arm soreness. In an interview, he shared his experience, during his younger age, throwing and observed that his arms are just getting worse.

The Cowboys coaches are a bit of concerned for Romo’s arms soreness. But Romo don’t have any plan of taking break in the season, however, he plans to cut back by throwing lesser passes during the team’s warm-up session. He executes the passing drills without defenders to further stretch out his arms. Aside from that, cold compress and a lot of rest will do.

Even the Dallas Cowboys coaches are very supportive of his decision of not taking a break in the season. They have given him an option that if it sores much, he is not obliged to play. In a very optimistic and dedicated manner, Romo is thinking that in spite of his arm soreness, there are still a lot of thing to do and he must keep on practicing.

The Cowboys are having their preseason opener game next Sunday with the Cincinnati Bengals in the Hall of Fame at Canton, Ohio. Can Romo’s soreness get worse during their game? Can he now assure not just the team but the bettors as well that he could throw and make his performance as if he is suffering from any injuries? Will it be enough to cover the totals and the spread set by the different sportsbook on the team? Can it be a thing that bettors make money from? Records of injuries may affect each team and players’ performance. The question is who can still stand until the end?

Flash back 09 NFL Season—When the Minnesota Vikings finally signed National Football League superstar quarterback Bret Favre the fortune of the team made a 365 degrees turn-around.

Favre had a great season his first year as a member of the Vikings as he had a superb year throwing for 4,202 yards and 33 TDs against a career best seven INTs that made him a legitimate Most Valuable Player (MVP) contender in the 2009 NFL season.

The 2009 might not end magnificently after the Minnesota Vikings were beaten by the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship but it showed glimpses what this NFL franchise could do in the 2010 NFL season.

If ever Favre once again defy father time and returns for the Vikings it would certainly be a bad news to other NFL teams especially those in the NFC North Division.

Key reinforcement—The Vikings hit a goldmine in the 2010 NFL draft after it drafted running back top prospect Toby Gerhart who is tailored made in the system of the Packers.

Gerhart is expected to take care of the ball eight to 10 times every game and evade defender if the need arises.

He will also acts as complementary player for running back Adrian Peterson who is badly needing some help notably if Favre decides not to return in the 2010 NFL season.

Key personnel loss—The decision of reliable running back Chester Taylor to play for the Chicago Bears in the 2010 NFL season is a big-loss for the Vikings.

Taylor who had a respectable average of 338 rushed yards on 94 could have become been the top complementary player for Peterson in the NFL season this year.

The loss of Taylor would be felt severely if ever Favre decides not to anymore return to the Vikings since the team lose a reliable running back who always gives his 100 percent effort in every game.

Key to success—To have a banner 2010 NFL season the Vikings must convinced superstar quarterback Bret Favre to return to the team and lead their campaign this year.

If ever by stroke of bad luck and Favre decides to retire with finality it would be a bad omen for the Vikings since Vikings back-up quarterbacks Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson do not have the skills yet to ensure steady wins for the team.

Once Favre returns, the NFL veteran quarterback also needs to give his 100 percent performance so that the Vikins can repeat as NFC North Champions in the 2010 NFL season.

Must see NFL game—If ever there one game Vikings fans should watch and the NFL franchise needs to win it is their opening game in the 2010 NFL season against the New Orleans Saints.

Regardless if Favre will play or not the Vikings needs to play their A-game and show the Saints that they are different team last year and is every determined to win the Super Bowl this year.

The Vikings-Saints match-up is also very important since it could help decided who will take the home field advantage in the NFL playoffs.

Fearless forecasts—Bright things awaits the Vikings in the 2010 NFL season especially if superstar quarterback Bret Favre returns to the team.

Despite the glittering possibilities the possibility that the Packers could derail their dream is still very possible since the NFL team had vastly improved from last year.

The Vikings have a potent force in offence in wide receivers Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin, who are both great complements for Peterson.

However, to run as a smooth offensive machine, the Vikings need to have a reliable quarterback who will lead the team, the management should strive hard to get the services of Favre back if it wished to succeed in the NFL this year.

Flash back 09 NFL Season––The 2009 NFL season might not be a banner year for the Green Bay Packers but it sure is a huge lift for the NFL franchise.

Despite the departure of its long-time superstar quarterback Bret Favre, the Packers has shown that they have moved on with the situation with their inspired performance the past NFL year.

Rising quarterback Aaron Rodgers has effectively shown that he can replace Favre as he threw for 4,000+ yards in the 2009 NFL season.

With Rodgers strong games coupled with a huge effort from the Packers defensive unit who finished second in terms of defense in the 2009 NFL season with an average of 284.4 yards per game, the Packers has reasons to be optimistic this year.

Key reinforcement—As old age stars to take toll on the offensive linemen of the Green Bay Packers, the team was able to address this problem in the recent 2010 NFL draft by taking in a huge and reliable offensive lineman OT Brian Bulaga.

Considered among the top ten pick in the recent NFL draft, the Packers hit a jackpot when they acquire Bulaga at the end of the first round.

With his size and athleticism, Bulaga is expected to make life easier for rising Packers star quarterback Rodgers in the next NFL season.

Key personnel loss—The Packers might have hit a jackpot when it drafted OT Brian Bulaga but in the forthcoming season of the NFL the team faces a tough challenge of losing their reliable defensive end Aaron Kampman.

Although Kampman is not that significant in the Packers 2-4 scheme as an outside linebacker, his loss could still affect in any way the plays of the team in the 2010 NFL season.

With a modest record of 3.5 sacks in just nine starts in 2009, Kampman’s departure could not severely affect the flow of the Packers plays especially that Barnett, Hawk, and Matthews had done a great job in the line-backing corps.

The Packers management had done a tremendous job of keeping the team together to avoid huge impact if ever someone leaves or is out of the roster in the 2010 NFL season.

Key to success—The 2010 NFL season will be great year for the Packers if they can continue to showcase their defensive arsenal that ranked them second in the 2009 NFL season.

Although the vaunted defense of the Packers got exposed via a humiliating 51 points defeat to the Arizona Cardinals in the wild Card playoff round one thing is certain their defense still rocks.

Veteran DB Charles Woodson should take the lead role in taking off passes like the nine passes he had the previous year to ensure the Packers defense will worked wonderfully in the 2010 NFL season.

Must see NFL game—There is no significant game for the Packers this NFL season than the one against the Minnesota Vikings at their own home-turf on October 24.

The game would be more significant if former Packers superstar quarterback Bret Favre returns this year and play for the Vikings.

The match against the Vikings and Favre is made more significant with the fact that it would be the team’s fourth home game before Halloween.

Packers fans around the world is very excited to watch their team do battle against the Vikings and Favre on October 24.

Fearless forecasts—If luck will be on the side of the Packers the 2010 NFL season will be a banner year for the Packers especially if rising quarterback Rodgers will continue to blossom with his professional football skills.

The way the team prepares in the off-season it would be a terrible achievement if the team will win less than 12 games in the 2010 NFL season.

As long as the team continue to play tough defense and improve on its offence winning their division and even the Super Bowl is not far-fetch in the 2010 NFL season.
